Football

The P4-7 boys show great dedication to their football practice sessions and enjoy developing their control and skills through a variety of drills and activities. Many of them improve greatly in different aspects of their game during their years at Tildarg Primary School.

During the 2014-2015 season the boys competed in league matches against local primary schools including Upper Ballyboley, Doagh, Ballynure and Straid. They played well in all these matches but only managed to secure a win against Upper Ballyboley.

This year’s annual May Fair Tournament organised by the Principals’ Association was held in The Soccer Shed. The boys all played extremely well at this tournament and managed to secure another win against Upper Ballyboley.

The boys had a very enjoyable season and should be commended on their attitude and on the sporting way they conducted themselves on all occasions.

Thank you to Mrs C McConnell and Mrs R Wilson who provided transport during the year and to all the parents who came out to support the football team at their matches.

A special word of thanks should also go to Mr S Beggs for his commitment and dedication to the boys by giving up his time to come and train the boys on a regular basis.
